- Legal chartering for foreign flagged vessels over 24 meters
- One year renewable charter licenses granted by Costa Rica Tourism Board
- Government Charter Fee is a percentage of the weekly standard charter agreement
- 2.5% of weekly standard charter agreement
- Duty free import of “spares in transit” for parts and other items for boats with a charter license or under temporary import status
- NON CHARTERS: New temporary import status is now 6 months and renewable for up to 2 years
